May 29: Buhari May Just Prefer An Unglamorous Reception

With barely less than 24 hours to the swearing-in ceremony of the president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, report has emerged that he might choose to make a quiet entry void of any showy display.
This is in contrast to the elaborate arrangement made when he returned to Nigeria after his presentations at the Chatham House in London.
Grapevine has it that Buhari is requesting for a low-keyed reception after a six-day trip to the United Kingdom.
The president-elect, who might likely fly into the country alongside former President Shehu Shagari, has also kept his immediate itinerary upon his return to his chest.
Not even his media aides were availed the programme of the president-elect as one of them confided to reporters that they have not been informed of the details of Buhari’s airport formalities.
